(Worldly pleasures had ruined me,)

(I didn’t have strength anymore;)

(I was always running after)

(Sinful pleasures.)
Ke buswa ke ditakatso
(I was under the dominion of sin)
Tse jang pelo ya ka;
(Sinful passions almost destroyed me;)
Di mpofile, ke le mofo,
(They had too much hold on me and almost killed me,)
Ke hola le tsona.
(I was born with this sinful nature)
Ke ne ke se na ho hana
(And there was nothing I could have done)
Leha di mpolaya.
(Even though they were destroying me.)
Jo, motho ya thotofetseng,
(Man is so wicked,)
Ya shweleng le mahlo,
(Nothing good comes out of him)
Ka mathela boreleding,
(I was running to eternal destruction)
Dintshing tsa selomo.
(Where there is no hope.)
Jo ‘na, ke ne ke mo soma
Ya reng wa ntemosa!
Ke ha Jesu a mphallela
(But Jesus found me)
Ka mohau wa hae;
(It was all because of His grace)
Hoja a ntlohetse fela,
(If He had left me on my own)

(I dont know where I would have been)

(He rushed and save me)

(He took hold of me and I was alive again.)

(He put me in the right path)

(And gave me peace)

(He broke all the bonds that were holding me)

(He gave me a new life)
Ka utlwa ke fetohile,
(And I knew that He changed my life)
‘Me ke pholohile.
(And now I am saved)
